Tomorrow's the big day! And I've got so much to do still... I really wish I had one more day to prepare.. ^^;

Anyway, last night was pretty intense. Both upper pieces of my shoulder pads are complete, and the lower pieces are only lacking the yellow trim (I was going to use tan-ish, but didn't have enough fabric) and the mirrors (I couldn't find any real metal bits to put on). Then I have to attach them together (still iffy on how that's going to work) and apply velcro to the inside and to my tunic.

This is awesomeness at the expense of my dexterity, unfortunately. I burned two fingertips on my right hand last night while using the glue gun, and this morning a finger on my left hand is inexplicably stiff and swollen. My motor skills are also suffering, but that's due to working on it until 2:30. ^^; I still have to finish the shoulders and do the boot cuffs, but hopefully it will all work out smoothly. I'm getting close!!

Maybe I should *not* come in to work half a day tomorrow.. I sure have a lot of errands to run, in addition to the costume... Hrmm.

(PS~ I'm finding that audiobooks are a great way to keep you working steadily. I've gone through five of the Sookie Stackhouse books in the last week or so. They're a bit explicit in spots, but they're sure riveting and entertaining. My current order of preference of the beaux: Alcide, Bill/Sam (tied), Eric. Anyone else (i.e. Calvin) I refuse to consider in the running until/unless I really have to.)
